Thanks DorMan, I really appreciate your long explanation how you did it. Thanks a lot.DorMan wrote:Thank you Pedja, glad you liked it!Pedja wrote:DorMan, first two tracks are very good (rhythm and leading theme). I specially like a sound of electric guitar (solo part in second song). If is not a secret, is it factory sound (which one, if it is) or some custom or other library prg. What is your experience and final meaning about FL like DAW for Kronos recording? Thanks for your share and all best with future songs.
The guitar sound is a factory sound (I-D050 JS Wah Lead Gtr JS+-Y)
I have used a compressor on it(Comp-P4EQ),Stereo BPM Long Delay and O-Verb,All of them are Kronos internal FX.
When I said I am using FL Studio I meant that I am arranging it all in my computer.I am usually recording directly to the kronos(in the sequencer),exporting each track to .wav file, and importing into my computer(via usb stick). In FL I am later adding all sorts of small effects and sounds(like a reverse crash, reverb kicks etc...,),also EQ it all in FL.
Combining vsts and other smaples(usually i use samples for all the percussions,as it is a lot easier and dynamic for me to write it in FL rather than on the kronos sequencer,Although in "Relax" the percussions are recorded in the Kronos).
Using every resource I can to get the sound I aim for.
Hopes it answers your questions.

I used my Kronos X 73 extensively on the Dream Eternal Bliss EP.
http://spoti.fi/1O752kF
The song "Don't Stop" started with a Kronos loop.
The songs "Die and Learn" and "Leave me Be" feature the piano.
I use it for a lot of my string sounds, though thicker pads come from my Korg Wavestation AD.
Other big sounds are my Prophet 12 and Rob Papen Blue II...

Here's one I did today. I call it Dreaming Blue. It's a rock instrumental. There isn't a lot of Kronos on it but that's where the drum tracks come from and the keyboard parts. It's mostly a Satriani-ish style guitar song. It's kind of a tip of the hat to his "Flying in a Blue Dream". I've been a huge fan of him since that album and have everything he ever made.I've seen him countless times too. His music to me is just magic!
Have a listen and please feel free to tell me what you think. I do suggest you give it a few listens. There's a lot going on.

Thank you PCFree. I'm glad you enjoyed them. The piano used in "After The Encore" is a stock timbre, PRG I-A001 KRONOS German Grand. The piano used in "Camino Del Mar" is also a stock timbre, PRG I-B006 Pure Stereo Piano. There are multiple timbres used in "Sultan's Dream". The introduction is the stock timbre PRG I-A014 Herbie's "Butterfly" EP. The lead synth section is a split combi I made from a couple stock timbres. In the left hand I'm using PRG I-A028 J. Lorber MarkV EP w/Pad up to note F#4. At note G4 the right hand is using two timbres from a stock combi, CMB I-E074 Singing Lead AND I-E073 Espress Lead. The resident stock combi for those timbres is CMB I-C035 Vanishing Point. The piano used at the end section of "Sultan's Dream" is one of my favorites, a custom timbre given to me by the fabulous keyboardist from the band "Euterpa" who shared here on our Korg forums. He entitled the timber "Mays G Piano Preset" which is forever in my user banks now among many others.
As for all other instruments (bass, drums, guitars, pads) they're entirely stock Kronos timbres.
Do you have music up to share PCFree? If so, I'd like to check it out. I'll do some surfing around after I submit this and maybe I can find it. Thanks again for checking out some of my work. I really appreciate it. I appreciate these forums and all those who contribute. I can't thank Korg enough for this amazing instrument. It's my live rig and irreplaceable in studio.
Respectfully,
John

Hi all. Haven’t posted in a while. Thought I’d share this as it’s totally different than anything I’ve done before. Hope you enjoy the scenery in the video as well. James Bond fans might see part of my inspiration for the lyrics. Have a great weekend!

Great music
I checked out your other youtubes. You've got a lot going on there and I liked them all very much. I couldn't comment there so I'll do it here. You've got a knack for matching groove with mood. I liked spring in to summer a lot and the jersey surfing video. I grew up in Jersey and still have soft place in me for many of those spots. Thanks for the nice comments and jam on! I'll subscribe to your channel so please post up more...
Thanks,
John
Thanks,

Thanks for listening and responding Gaston. The Kronos is incredibly versatile as are so many members of this forum. It's a pleasure to see what everyone is up to on this thread. With respect. Hal
