1973 Austin.
Very clean sounding, harmonica sounds like its running through a Leslie, very neat.

Thanks, jones, I appreciate your comments.

The mic I used for the harp is running thru 3 IFX insert effects, chained together:
Stereo Flanger
Stereo Multitap Delay
Stereo Auto Pan.

The guitar is running thru a Rotary Speaker IFX effect.

Headphones will really help to hear everything going on.

DorMan, first two tracks are very good (rhythm and leading theme). I specially like a sound of electric guitar (solo part in second song). If is not a secret, is it factory sound (which one, if it is) or some custom or other library prg. What is your experience and final meaning about FL like DAW for Kronos recording? Thanks for your share and all best with future songs.

Thank you Pedja, glad you liked it!
The guitar sound is a factory sound (I-D050 JS Wah Lead Gtr JS+-Y)
I have used a compressor on it(Comp-P4EQ),Stereo BPM Long Delay and O-Verb,All of them are Kronos internal FX.

When I said I am using FL Studio I meant that I am arranging it all in my computer.I am usually recording directly to the kronos(in the sequencer),exporting each track to .wav file, and importing into my computer(via usb stick). In FL I am later adding all sorts of small effects and sounds(like a reverse crash, reverb kicks etc...,),also EQ it all in FL.
Combining vsts and other smaples(usually i use samples for all the percussions,as it is a lot easier and dynamic for me to write it in FL rather than on the kronos sequencer,Although in "Relax" the percussions are recorded in the Kronos).
Using every resource I can to get the sound I aim for.
Hopes it answers your questions.
If you wanna know anything else let me know :)

In my ongoing quest to demonstrate that Kronos has great guitar patches (if tweaked!), I've put together this song. No actual guitars were used (or harmed) in this recording! This is all Kronos....with LOTS of midi-guitar conversion controlling the guitar patches. This is a rough mix, not complete and not mastered. Just some outboard compression/EQ (Avalon 747) to smooth it out and bring the level up to a respectable listening volume. I've still got a lot of work to do on this track...but the exciting elements are there (IMHO). Guitar convertor is a Roland GK2a and GR30. All the effects on the guitar patches are from Kronos. Bass, drums, and strings are played on the Kronos keyboard. Recorded in Logic Pro.

Very good demonstration of what Kronos guitar patches can do. Well done.

only one MOD7 complex patch based on waveshapers. Drums are made with Arturia Spark by a friend of mine.
Very great tune. Liked it

Hi Ron,

Nice job :D

Did you only use internal orchestral sounds for the fast arco string arpeggios or did you use string sounds from external libraries?
How did you get that thickness in the arco strings and which sounds did you use ?
Also using Karma for the arpeggios ?

Cheers

Is been a long time since I produced that clip. However, as I recall:

It's exclusively Krinos stock sounds. I made that shortly after the original release of Kronos 1, before there were libraries or large SSD,s on board. But I tracked out to Ableton live and sequenced and arranged and mixed there. It was quite a few tracks for that little clip. Upwards of 30. And I double tracked and panned many parts to add thickness. No Karma was used, I just played and in some cases quantized the parts in Ableton. I did use some external mastering effects (Ozone I think) to get the Air I was looking for, that "Hollywood soundtrack" sound. But the individual tracks were recorded straight from Kronos w internal effects. I can't remember the exact patches I used all this time later, but I have tendency to pick a good patch and edit it to fit the job. I believe I did that here, tweaking the filter or decay/release to fit the string section I was emulating. In many cases, you'd be surprised that it's a synth patch, rather than a string sample patch, in the mix, which fills out the sound.

That's about all I can remember now. It was one of my original compositions after receiving my brand-new Kronos 1. The whole thing took me no more than two evenings to record and mix. Perhaps six hours of work. I remember posting it in an effort to demonstrate what could be done on a Kronos, and how good it's orchestral capabilities are. At that time everybody was very interested to hear and know this, because it was all brand-new stuff to the market.

Thank you for your kind comments about the clip!
