Hello
Recently bought a Radias rack
Its connected to mine Roland Mx 1, the sync doesn't work properly.
When pushing play at the Mx 1 the seq on the radiias doesn't start but it is still possible to adjust the tempo from the Mx 1 that is Master, to start the seq on the radias i have to start it manually from the panel and when this is done pushing start on the Mx1 the Mx1 can't stop the seq when pushing the Start/stop button on the Mx 1.
On radias the midi is set to ext midi and the routing to midi, from Mx1 midi cable to midi in on the radias, global set to channel 1 on both devices.
what I'm I doing wrong, please help

Hi,
Do you see the tempo led blinking on the Radias at same rate as the Mx1, even if you change the tempo at the Mx1?
See also my related post for the R3: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... p?t=100902. In brief it boils down that the start of an external sequencer as such will not start the arpeggiator. It will only make sure that arpeggiator has been reset to step 1, so that step 1 corresponds with the start of the sequencer. You still need key hits, or notes received over MIDI to actually hear the pattern. For the step sequencers I'm not sure.
Question is whether your Mx1 sends the start and stop messages (0xFA/0xFC).
Check also that MIDI filters are disabled at both the Mx1 and Radias.
Bye

Tempo is blinking, all filters disabled, all other synths in the chain are starting, took the radias away and tried to start it separately but no luck, this really sucks on this piece..cant have a synth that don't trigger start, the Mx is sending start/Stop, its kind the whole point with the Mx 1
Thanks anyway

No, i wonder if its possible to change the FA start and stop inputs since it don't want start with mine Roland Mx1, well the key sync is of and it still not starting, have give up on this piece of useless synth, nobody can explain why the seq won't start by a simple start midi message, this is not assign to a midi channel
and strange part is why its possible to adjust the tempo and stop the seq from the Mx1...
