RELAX frankie goes to hollywood

Hi does anyone know how to create the stab synth bit in RELAX

Sounds basically like the synthbrass patch from a General MIDI soundset. Might need to work the filter a bit to adjust the brightness some, but it's basically a Roland bright synth sound.

Granted, that's not what was used back then, but it's a good starting point.

My band used to do that song, but my brass "hits" weren't really that close to the original. Sounded Ok live though. Here's a rough take using my Kronos - obviously a lot of it was clicked/sequenced:

Pretty good, the brass sound is not bad!!!

Bass and keyboard player, not usually at the same time, but sometimes in the same song!

Hi everybody,

I'm in a cover band and we are planning to play the song "Relax" by Frankie goes to hollywood. I'm trying to make the different synth sounds in this song but not great results for the moment. I'd like to know if one of you, would have a korg kronos PCG or samples or ideas about the synths I could use for this song? Thank you very much for your help.
