I know there have been keybed issues in the past. but I've just received my 2nd brand new Kronos 2 - 73 with a keyed issue.
The first one had a key (3rd A from the bottom) that had much more resistance versus the other keys (very noticeable if you played a soft passage -- it wouldn't go down with the same force applied to other keys). The 2nd Kronos has the same problem, but with 2 different keys (the same A and the B right above it). They even make a different sound (with the audio off) than all the other keys.
I'm wondering if this something others have experienced? Is it something that goes away with more usage?

Did you go to the store where you bought it?Codd12 wrote:I know there have been keybed issues in the past. but I've just received my 2nd brand new Kronos 2 - 73 with a keyed issue.

A few weeks ago I had the chance to play on a Kronos 2 73 which just came out of the box. The lower octave keys were all stuck and I had to use force to play them. But after a few minutes the loosened up.
But if you don't trust it, just contact your dealer.

I don't know about the K2, but on the original/X, the rail under the keys could get too close to the keys which would cause rubbing or sticking. Simply loosening the screws and gently pulling the bar forward will eliminate the problem. I would hope a brand new K2 would be set up properly to avoid the problem, but it is actually an easy fix if the structure is the same as the original.
