PA4X New Styles

Post by Thoraldus »

Did a bit of digging around in the PA4X manual and found there are 180 styles with new names not found in the PA3X. There are also 136 styles that are on the PA3X that are not found on the PA4X. Now of course KORG could have changed the name of a style so we really can't know what is new until we get somebody to compare the styles who has both a PA3X and a PA4X .... Pete? ;-)

I have an Excel file with this all laid out if anyone is interested.

Hi Rick

Yes there's an odd history regarding styles and names.
For example, styles on the PA2XPro with the same name as styles on the PA588 were NOT the same styles.
Some styles from PA1X that appeared on the PA2x were also not the same despite names.

"Rikkisbears" (haven't heard from her for a while) did some great comparisons a while back with the previous models.

I'm happy to help if you wish (if I can) - don't unbox the PA4 - just ship it straight on to me - it might take me several months but I will get it done.

Seriously, wouldn't it be great if Korg made all their factory styles available for download and at least prefixed names with model number.
I still use some of my i3 styles, i30, PA1XPro, PA2Xpro and PA588.....

Cheers

I have all the factory styles:
PA50-Pa60-Pa80, Pa50SD,
Pa1X,
Pa500, Pa800, Pa2X,
PA600, PA600 QT, Pa900, Pa3X Le, Pa3X,
Pa4X

The reason for the acquisition of all the banks because they are different styles in the models Korg Pa.
Pa1X other than PA800 and other than Pa900 etc.

Absolutely right! It's quite confusing now sometimes. The Power Rock style in PA3X was called Pop Rock in PA800... Who would expect that. Korg must have some sort of a list or administration, I hope they are willing to share.

I dont think Korg has a database with these ....... internally Korg Italy seems to be as chaotic as the products they release... no consistency in the styles at all...

Its a new style format... which actually is a very good thing... arrangers need to advance and more advanced styles is just a pro..

I think the drum part and effects parts are the reason they can not be downgraded...
