Have you loaded the MIDI file into a song number?

If I've got this right, you have saved the song but when re-loaded, it reverts to the default MIDI instruments. If that is the case, you need to save the Program data together with the Song data. On the Disk Save page, you will need to select the Save All command, which will save a set of .PCG and .SNG files at the same time.

On the reload, did you try to open the SNG file rather than the MIDI file?

Don't worry about taking up people's time. I'm sure folks do this because they want to. Occasionally one or two people have been known to demand this or that, treating the forum as if it's a paid-for service.

(1) insert SD (2) Open media (3)save midi (4) save all to PCG and SEQ (5) Open song file .. In the sequencer mode it shows what instruments are in what tracks .however all instruments are showing that they are in the A bank all are in piano mode I change them manually to the appropriate tracks but when the song is finished I press play again it returns to piano mode

The link below shows the various steps that need to be gone through in order to link the required instruments to the MIDI track:

Hope this helps.
