Hi Guys,
I just didi it: I installed a 2nd SSD to my Kronos2-61 I took several pictures and will do a documentation later on to share with you.
Just so far: on the 61 key model, it's no problem to install a 2nd SSD! It's quite the same as in the old models - so, no problem here with the heat sink and the SATA cable
Congratulations! I am sure it was a little scary when you turned it on for the first time after the install. You are now an official Korg Service Center.
Well done! Would love to see some detailed photos of the internals of the Kronos 2 - I've been hoping that there's been an improvement in the mechanical design of the chassis since the first iteration and am keen to see how they differ.
Current Equipment:
Korg Kronos 2 88, Reface CS, Roland JV-1080, TE OP1, Moog Subsequent 37, Korg ARP Odyssey, Allen & Heath Zed 18, Adam F5, MOTU MIDI Express XT, Lexicon MX200 & MPX1, Yamaha QY700, Yamaha AW16G, Tascam DP008ex, Zoom H6, Organelle, Roland J6 & JU06A
Previous: Triton LE 61/Sampling/64MB/4GB SCSI, MS2000BR, Kronos 1 61, Monotribe, NanoKontrol, NanoKeys, Kaossilator II, Casio HT3000, Roland VP-03, Reface DX, Novation Mininova, MPC One
Sorry for the delay! Here are finally the pictures. As I said: installation is quite simple - as in Kronos Classic and Kronos X. You don't even have to change the SATA-port, just plug in the cable in the free port
Great pictures. Thanks for uploading them. I was surprised when I did the install on my Kronos X 88 I didn't have to change the SATA cable. It was already install in SATA connector 0 from the factory.
