Key Advanced Modulation for AL-1

Post by Rosen Sound »

Hey guys,
Trying to figure out how to make the kronos with the excellent AL-1 behave more like a out of calibration old polysynth (JP8, P5, etc).

Basically, I could do what I want if the step sequencer could step via note advance, as in, doesn't move to the next step until the next key is pressed. This way I could have subtle variations in the filter, emulating vintage poly behavior.

I tried looking into wave sequence AMS outputs, but this modulation source doesn't seem to be available in AL-1.

Any help is appreciated!

Start with "Modeling vintage analog synths" in the AL-1 chapter of the Parameter Guide. For subtle variations on any modulatable parameter, use a random LFO with Stop enabled; this means that the LFO produces a single value at the start of the note.

Cool! Thanks! I am trying it out and it is working out like I had hoped. I did read the section but can't seem to find the "scale random" parameter... hmm.

Thanks again, Dan!
