Step Sequencer -- 3/4 time?
is there any way to use the step sequencer in 3/4 time? It seems to be layed out for twos and fours only, and i don't se anything in the manuals suggesting this possibility, unless I've missed something.

Thanks--oddly, that seems to work, though I would not have guessed it was a resolution issue. I also found that I could reset the metronome accordingly only after kitting the record button.
I also thought there was some way to copy the Step Sequence pattern to a normal drum track for more detailed editing, but now I can't find that under either menu or function (it's called "copy from Step Sequence or some such.) when I got started on this, I saw the step sequencer as a means to rough out a beat that you could enhance later through normal track recording (adding variations, etc.) This shouldn't be beyond the Kross' capabilities should it?

You can copy drumtrack and apergio track to the sequencer... that's all.
You point out a real problem in the Kross. All advanced functions are independent and do not speak each others. The Kross firmware seems to be an assembly of plugins from different other machines.
Some useful functionalities as
- drumtrack to step sequencer (and inversely) do not exist,
- drumtrack pattern to arpegio pattern do not exist (and inversely)
- step sequencer pattern to arpegio do not exist (and inversely)
- part of a sequencer track to drum pattern, step sequencer or arpegio pattern do not exist
- Why I can not edit arpegio and drum pattern using the 16 buttons ???
- Why I can not program each of the 16 buttons : there are 16 buttons (virtually 64) and they are only for favorites and step sequencer
- Why i can not officially (and easily) load samples in the 16Mo of free flashram ?
- Why the SD card does not recognize long filename and folders (+subfolders) in 2015 ?
Welcome to Eigthties !
And thank you to the internship student who has developed the Kross firmware

Thanks! You just answered a bunch more of my questions and saved me some furious flipping through manual pages!
I take it you have owned a Kross for a while; what do you still like about it? Did these shortcomings come as a suprise, or were you at least expecting a stripped down model? Just curious; I've had mine for about eight months, so I can't say I've put it through the wringer just yet.

I have bought a second hand Kross 61, sold hit for a 88 version, and because the keybed of kross 88 is poor quality + change in my life and I need place => sold the 88 and rebought a new Kross 61.
So I like the Kross :
- very compact and very lightweight => easy to carry during holidays or weekend
- very good sound for the price
- very playable and enjoying combis => for the fun
- autonomous => no software is required (when the editor will not run on windows 12)
- everything is useful in this keyboard !
- very complete IN/OUT (and any pedals are compatible)
- the batteries to play outside on the terasse or the gazon when the sun shines...
But the 88 version is a very bad choice: worse keybed (trace of oil, very noisy, unrealistic, uncomfortable), very plastic, too large, panel control not made for the 88, no R&D at all on this model ( a stupid assembly of components in an available structure). I am waiting from Korg a very well studied 88 keys workstation, following the same philosophy of the Kross61: compact, lightweight, solid.
I regret Korg produces firmware updated only for their flagships (Kronos). There are so many small functions updates to make on the Kross... but all of them = work = spend money for nothing (only for users' smile) !
