I'm very likely going to get the Electribe Sampler when it comes out next month, but I wanted to run by you all what it is I plan on using it for and see if the troubles many are having with the current Electribe (and will most likely be seen on the Sampler) will cause me trouble. I basically want to use the ES2 as a drum machine and one shot sampler that I can tweak live and motion sequence. Maybe I'll have some sampled, sequenced basslines as well, and I'm sure I will use the synth engine, but I'm not going to rely on it. Do current Electribe owners think that the clicking, gaps, and other issues will interfere with me using the ES2 for these purposes?
Thanks!

I would honestly advise you to hold off for a few weeks after release to gauge reception. That's my advice for all new gear though,
Check out my patch creation blogs:

I've never regretted not pre-ordering something. I've been glad I didn't though. I always wait until there are a good number of actual user reviews, and that those user have had it for long enough to know. Nothing worse than a review that says I just got this thing and it's great! when clearly they turned it on and listened to a couple presets and wrote the review. Not saying anyone here has done this, but you see tons of it on amazon.
That said I wasn't thrilled by and probably won't buy the E2, at least not in the near future. The ES2 may be a different story, there's still too much we don't know about it.

Thanks for the replies! I will probably hold off on pre-ordering. I don't normally pre-order items, but I definitely need a sampler so I'm ready to get one. In terms of hardware and new, there aren't a lot of options other than this and the Octatrack (which is over 3x as much though) so hopefully it'll at least be functional!
