I have syx files on pc but korg legacy won't open them it's saying fxp
Can anyone help. I've dumped my m1 sounds on to pc and trying to load them into korg m1 legacy to edit and delete some sounds and some new ones and send back to m1. ...
Any help would be brilliant please.

Hello guys, regarding your questions:
To load M1 syx files into the Legacy M1 you need to choose the Import files button and not the Load button.
If you are dumping syx files from your M1 to later use on the Legacy, it's best to dump separate Prog/Combi files and load into Legacy those separate Prog/Combi files, meaning instead of choosing "Dump All" on the M1 Global menu, choose "Dump All Prog" and "Dump all Combi"
As for transferring files from Legacy to the M1, i'm afraid it's not possible, unfortunately
If you like a patch on Legacy and want to recreate it on the M1 the only way is to manually copy all (relevant) parameters from Legacy to the M1. It's a pain but not much, as the M1 is a very simple synth so there is not a lot of parameters. Just bare in mind that there id a slight difference in how the same patch will sound between the Legacy and the M1.
However there are literally thousands and thousands of M1 patches all over the net in syx files you can use either with the M1 (loading via MidiOX or similar program) or on the Legacy M1 (by importing the syx files), just google "Korg M1 patches"
EDIT: you have lots of patches for the M1/Legacy M1 right here in the forum too:
