Smooth transition problem betweenslots in setlist
Hi,
Sometimes in setlist mode the smooth transition doesn't work. When I pressn a slotcombi in setlist and press another slotcombi, the sound cut's off.
Between some slots it works, between other not. Until now i can't figure out why. Any ideas?

Re: Smooth transition problem betweenslots in setlist
I've actually noticed this myself. I was using Program mode, switching between (I believe, I'm not at my keyboard) sound 17 and 19 in the A bank (The next sounds after the pianos) and with I think sound 17 being held, sound 18 would load fine, but as soon as I hit 19 the sound cut off. The same thing happened in the opposite direction as well. It didn't matter how many voices were being used... I didn't troubleshoot it any further than that yet, but I also noticed it happening on mine as well.spo elman wrote:Hi,

I'm running OS 3.0.2, and if I can find out what's causing it I'll definitely mention it here.

If the fx processing power or polyphony are maxing out, SST will not work unfortunately. Try to see if you can reasonably thin out your combis without losing too much. Also, if you're on OS3, disabling the new "level meters" function in the global menu supposedly helps in some cases. Personally I'm expecting further improvement with a minor OS update, as OS2 did a lot better with SST.
I'm not sure if EnigmaHack is talking about the same thing though. SST only works for ONE change - from one sound to the next. Changing to a third sound will cut off the first. It has always been this way.

Ahhh... Okay I didn't know that. That actually makes complete sense. Thanks for the info!SanderXpander wrote:I'm not sure if EnigmaHack is talking about the same thing though. Thanks for that. No need actually... I just come from the Kurzweil world where you can play a note, hold through several changes and the sound doesn't stop. (The effects however will swap and change on top of that sound if it's using the same effects block)SanderXpander wrote:Switching from 17 straight to 19 will work fine though, if that's all you really need! You could put them in adjacent setlist slots or actually type 19 on the numpad, then <enter> while in program mode.
I just assumed it would be the same thing on the Kronos, but I now am better informed
