Korg Electribe SX 'Upgrade' ESX-file (+free instrument pack)

The ESX-file in the video (the one for sale) is a very unique one.
It gives your Electribe SX new features and virtual playback channels.

It Includes:

Code: Select all

* optimized for low memory consumption (85% free memory, perfect for livesets)

* 272 samples but they occupy only 4 sample-slots (=252 free sample-slots)

* extra playback channels: 128 samples per channel (using startpoint-parameter)

* 256 (mostly drum) samples from Korg Electribe SX and MX

* 16 oscillators

* custom lowlevel file-modifications which allows longer pingpongloops

This is groundbreaking stuff.. Lots of new ways to work and lay things out. Your method of using the sample start knob to scroll through samples is sweet.

Cool! Start knob sample selection is a known technique but I haven't seen such a well organized .esx file addressing it. You're right it's a great way to approach it. I'll play more with it over the next couple days.

I didn't know this forum is also for buying and selling stuff. Even patterns.

There are a few patterns but it's the work he put into the four samples that's a great example of selecting the instrument by slice number and sample start knob. It's a different approach and a byproduct of it is that some interesting things can be done by way of motion sequence. There's a lot of work done here.

Is this correct -?

Leon has sat down and copy/pasted all the drum sounds of the EMX into one wave file - then repeated for the ESX drum sounds - so he has 128 drums in each file -?

imported those two files then sliced and set start/end points for each drum sound on the two files?

I suspect he has done a a lot more - either way it gets my respect.

Man if yr site took paypal...

I guess I didn't get the memo.. Is there a ban on selling Korg-related items here? I see someone else is selling an Electribe2 right? I am just wondering because I have sold a couple sample/pattern sets here in the past three years that have been quite successful.

Anyway, this is more than a pattern set; this is a template that reconfigures your ESX. The video blew my mind open, actually, and concerning the ESX that's not an easy thing to do. This must have taken many hours to assemble.. I am now the proud owner of this template and I feel it's worth every penny. Thank you, Leon.

To me this is a Korg support forum, not Gumtree or Craigslist. Just wondering if commercial posts are ok or not. Relax 8)

Sorry. I guess I did kind of come across a bit ruffled, lol.. I was genuinely curious about a rule against sales, but no worries. =)
