pa1 touch setings
I wish to remove the velocity settings on some instruments for my performance. From global/general/basic/velocity/off I get the default max vol level. Is there a way (as in the Yamaha) to set a lower level which softens the sound?

Hi & welcome to our Forums.
Yes you can change this by instrument rather than generically.
I am away from my files and keyboard right now but you will find this in the SOUND mode (editing)
Cheers
Pete

Scaled velocity
The necessary parameters you can find in Sound-Edit-Mode (Basic: Vel/Key Zone), where you can set a note and velocity range “window” for the selected oscillator.wbfnz wrote:I will have to try and find the necessary value to change.
With "Velocity Zone" you can specify the velocity range for the selected oscillator, but you can not set BottomVelocity higher than the TopVelocity, nor the Top Velocity lower than the Bottom Velocity.
"ScaledVelocity" is used as parameter to scale velocity received by the oscillator. By using the “Velocity Zone” function as above, an oscillator may be limited to a restricted range (say, 10 to 20), that may result in weak dynamics when the associated sample is triggered.
By assigning a different value to these parameters, the restricted range will be converted to a wider range (for example, the lowest range value of 10 may be converted to a ScaledVelocity value of 0, and the highest range value of 20 may be converted to a ScaledVelocity value of 127). All values included between the minimum and maximum value are scaled accordingly.
As a consequence, you can create an RX-Sound of guitar, by
assigning the guitar fret noise to the 10~20 velocity range. When a dynamics value between 10~20 is received, the real velocity-value is scaled to the ScaledVelocity values and plays louder.
kind regards
