Kronos pitch moving up a quarter tone on its own?

Post by macbabbi »

I have an intermittent problem, while plaing the keyboard, the kronos will pitch all notes a quarter note up, never down. The problem stops when i touch the pitchbender slightly. Im assuming this is the pitchbender mechanism itself, but my repairman said he cannot gaurantee that this is the issue. Can anyone chime in and offer suggestions?

It is the "Pitch Bend," replace it and your keyboard should be back in business.

Agreed, I had the exact same problem and had to order a replacement pitch bend. It's fairly easy to install if you're at all comfortable working inside the keyboard.

That's the same link where I bought it, although it looks like they're out of stock now.
