krome preset sounds different than kronos?

Post by hois68 »

can anyone tell me if the preset sounds in the krome are different than the presets in the kronos? I have a kronos 61, recently sold my m388 and want to get a new 88 key synth...I'd prefer a board with its own sounds as opposed to just a controller and obviously don't want duplicate sounds I already have on the kronos...also, I'm looking for something lightweight (m3 was over 60lbs) so any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...thanks!
current gear: korg kronos 61, korg kronos ll / 88, yamaha modx7, behringer deepmind 12, roland fa-06, , korg x50...past gear: yamaha moxf8, korg triton, korg tr61, korg triton le, korg poly 800 ll, roland fantom fa-76, roland fantom x6, alesis micron, roland jv-30, yamaha mm8, kawai kl ll, kawai k4

I used to have a Krome and now a Kronos and i think the sounds are better on the Kronos. Certainly the piano is better. Just seems a better sounding machine all round.

I think he was asking if the presets naming and scheme were different not how they sound. I found this also wanting to know because I plan on purchasing a Krome. I do have the Kronos and use it at church. But due to spine issues I can't load that thing up in my vehicle all the time.

Anyway if anybody can answer how different the presets are I would appreciate it.
