is there a way to assign the record turntable effect to a switch or value slider?
I only need to turn it on and off for one part of a song but the effect when selected is constantly on...
so far I've been getting around it by opening up the menu and manually turning it on and off from the insert fx screen however trying to do that live leaves ALOT of room for error...
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...thanks!

On the "PROGRAM P8: Insert Effect" Page, select the IFX 1-12 Tab, in the section that says "Noise", set the "Level" to 100, "Source" to "SW1 Mod" (CC#80), and the "Amount" to "-100". Activating SW1 should kill the effect. The "Level", Density, and "Tone" can be set to whatever value you find pleasing, but don't set them to "0" or you won't get the effect with SW1 off. I would also recommend setting the "Click" the same. Also changing the "Analog Record Speed" from "33 1/3" to "45" to "78" will change how fast the "click" repeats. Hope this helps. Play with it. It might be a bit tricky at first. It took me about 5 minutes to get it right. You can't "break" anything. Once you get it right, "Write" the Program, preferably to a new location and give it a unique name and select the "Favorite" checkbox so it will be easier to find. Also look at assigning it to a "Category" that will also help you locate it later. You can also customize the Sub Categories in Global, which also helps locating it at a later date. You can also "Write FX Preset" from the Page Menu Command on the same page. I would also recommend creating a separate folder and saving the PCG to the internal SSD and even an external USB device as a backup. Why lose the fruits of your labor? Also, under the Page Menu Command, you will see a blue box with the letter "P" in it. Select the arrow in the grey circle and you will get a dropdown with a list of Presets. You will see one named "P07 Note on = Noise. you might be able to make this work for you, but I am not sure how to define which note would turn the effect on & off. A little research might yield the answer. Hope this helped. It took a lot to type it all in. As a matter of fact, it took longer to type this in than it did to figure out how to do it. But heck- I learned something too! What a great machine, huh?!?!?
