Best price for KORG 76 Key T.E w/ MOSS

Post by cjp_24 »

What do you think the best price I could ask for a 76 Key Triton Extreme. It has it original box and the unit is in excellent condition and has only been used rarely.

What is the asking price? Looking around I have noticed that the 76 key version is quite rare.

Please advise?

$1500 max... if you can find someone who REALLLLLLY wants it. And if you include freebies like printed manuals, voice library on USB or flash and a case.

You are competing with newer synths ar the $1-1.5K price points so you need to undercut them to sell older gear.

The most I've seen asked (realistically) for for a stock Extreme 76 was ~$1200 (and at that point it was competing with the 88 key version).

My opinion is that you might do better breaking it up - sell the keyboard for $1K and the MOSS separately for $400.

I bought mine used at GC for $999. They didn't know that it had the MOSS board in it or they would have priced it higher....

Good deal that. Agree that MOSS was a real bonus. Congrats.

Ironcially, the 76 has been getting a better price lately than the 88, the bigger board being more common. I Got my 88 from GC for $950.

Before buying my TEx88 I only got the 76 key versions of any synth because of both weight issues (the 88 key version of any keyboard is generally heavy as a big bag of bricks) and the fact that the unweighted version is the better playing weight for anything else I do in a band except for piano, for which it is IMO essential for nuanced playing.
