Kronos to Logic X Record Audio Tracks

In a midi track all works fine, Kronos to Logic X, though the sound is dictated by whatever Logic library sound is assigned to it; E.g., synth, piano, orchestral, etc. etc. But what I'm interested in is to directly record the actual sound of the combis or program modes, such as Era of Kronos, etc., etc.

When I try this with an audio track, I can hear combi or program, but this is constantly being interrupted by lots of heavy static, like 1 second of the combi, followed by 3 seconds of heavy statis, back and forth. A Logic X senior advisor had no answers. My only guess would be that possibly the Logic X Audio Prefs need some tweaking, or possibly some tweak to the audio track itself??

Could be a number of things but things to check would be audio interface (if applicable), cable connections, cables. If you are getting some sort of audio it is not the preferences.

I also have both Logic Pro X and a Kronos X and I had issues but they were me not my devices.

This really seems strange, but not really enough information to make a guess on the problem.

What kind of audio interface do you have? How is the Kronos audio getting to the computer?

When you use the Kronos as an Audiointerface you have to set the Samplerate in Logic X to 48 kHz !

So you feel that just changing that from 44 to 48 will resolve the static issue? Done in the file - project settings - audio - sample rate.

So, you're saying the USB is the midi feed and 1/4" for audio feed? I do have them both. I noticed before getting into this that I could feed backing tracks on my pc directly into Logic on a 1/8" pipeline connection, without any drivers or anything.

And I can do a 2 jack stereo feed out from the Kronos into Logic? Unfortunately, new computers no longer have an input jack feed, so I have to use an old USB to 1/8" in/out jack feed that I got from Plantronics for dictation software.

I don't really even know what "TRS" stands for other than a Canadian music group. No I don't have an interface, do I have to have one to record on audio tracks without statis?

TRS stands for Tip, Ring, Sleeve it is a type of 1/4 jack.

You don't need anything but a USB cable from the Kronos to your Mac. That will send both audio and midi. You do have to make sure everything is set to 48k

Sorry ronnie I thought you were running your setup through an audio interface. Stick with Ed, I do not use the Kronos it that manner.
