Volca Keys bugs and envelopes: firmware suggestions

Post by andrie »

did anyone else notice that playing chords on the keys is fiddly and higly sensitive matter, easily not playing unison and also weirdly cutof by the next, although polyphony seems 4 voices in stead of 3

+ the amp envelopes release is a tat short

- some weird velocity bug, volume not always coherent, weird drops of sound softer and harder again .. maybye a way to switch velocity of?!

Only the POLY and POLY RING modes are actually polyphonic. The rest force it to be monophonic since they stack the oscillators together.

Also, even though POLY and POLY RING modes offer three notes of polyphony, the synthesizer itself only has envelope and filter which all three oscillators share. This is why playing chords can sound a bit off at times. The correct term for how the polyphony operates is actually "Paraphony"
