Selecting multisamples for custom patches

Post by dkhbrit »

I've initialized an HD patch, gone to the OSC Basic tab. When I select MS1 and go to select a multisamples there are only a few available for me to select. Is there a reason that I don't get to choose from any multisample from the ROM? Thanks.

Hello,

Check if you selected the correct "type".
You can acess ROM m, ROM s, Exs, etc....

Maybe your choosing stereo samples? Switch to mono. 8)

Sounds basic but are you sure the samples you want are loaded? Did you do an unload or change things?

Thanks all. I really should go and explore with it a bit more before asking dumbass questions on here. The problem is that you so easily get lost in some feature on it in a random way. I was playing a few of the guitar presets and hit the Karma button. Big mistake. Now I have a million questions about Karma. Not used it before but wow. Very cool indeed.

Being a newb to synths I don't think any of the questions are dumbass, there is so much in Kronos that even pouring through the manual questions come up and things get mixed up if a persons head because of trying to learn to much at one time. Happens to me everyday!
So was the fix that you had unloaded some of the samples?

Well I took an init patch from my user CC bank and was able to select any of the available multisamples. I'm not quite sure what I was doing wrong before, but it might have been the stereo/mono thing.

Thanks for the responses.

I think you must be trying to select multisample from User bank, thinking of custom patch/program. On KRONOS all programs are user/custom patch/program, even the preload ones. All programs (except GM) can be edited and saved.
