ESC & CST comparison?

I know many use the Extreme Sample Converter and some use the Chicken Systems Translator. Wondering what experience anyone has with them?
I've read were ECS doesn't respond as well to their customers and in presale inquiries that has been true in my case. Only CST has responded to my emails.
But it is also more expensive. What are your experiences?

(this software will be used to transfer samples for use in the Kronos).

I do like ESC as well but it has not been updated in years and there's no Mac version. If anybody here has actually heard from the developer recently please do post about that.

I have both, but to be fair I haven't updated Translator in a long time as I never found it reliable. For years I've been using ESC as it simply works. Does everything advertised, and always without fail. Translator probably works just as well these days, but I can't say. Haven't updated.

Talking about updates, ESC while super great still hasn't been updated in 2.5 years. Still no v4. I just sent the developer an email asking if there was any news. If I hear anything back I'll post it here.
