korg 01w/fd

Post by melll »

Hi all :D
I am new to this forum and would appreciate some help.
I have acquired a large amount of backing tracks that were created on a korg 01w/fd keyboard. Unfortunately, i do not have access to this keyboard any longer and wondered if it is possible to open these files in any other way other than with this keyboard? My aim is to transfer them, if possible to an hard drive or something similar.
If anyone can shed any light on this for me it would be much appreciated.
Thankyou

With no access to an 01WFD... The only way you can do this is to run the 01W disks through a special program that can convert the songs into Standard Midi Files.

The program is called 01WSMF

Where you will find it.... err...I have no idea. I suspect you will have to do a bit of google searching. I was only a kid when I last used that program. I wonder would it even run on todays computers since it was a DOS program from what I can remember.
