Best way to find specific sounds?

Post by scottd3n »

Hi - with the hundreds/thousands of patches on the Kronos, is there a 'best practice' for locating a specific sound, or do you have to literally read through 20 pages of patches in the manual each time? For example, I need to see if there is a Mellotron patch or a Monosynth -- what's the easiest/fastest way to find those, or any other sound?

Thanks!

Then after finding your favorites, assign them to your favorites sub-category for easy and quick access in the future.

With PCG Tools you can very easily make patches favorite (or unfavorite), you can create a list of all favorite patches (creating a text/table or web site page) and maybe most of all: you can search for texts through all your patches at once (e.g. find all programs, combis and set lists with Organ in it).

Read the OG on how to select sounds by "Category".
"To me the synthesizer was always a source of new sounds that musicians could use to expand the range of possibilities for making music."

To help clarify what nitecrawler said, read the OG section on "Favorites".

What about finding a drum track pattern? If I am right, there are no categories?
