Yamaha TQ-5 rarity
hey guys, I've been trying to find a portable yamaha fm synth, and I thought I found it when I heard about the Yamaha TQ-5, but unfortunately, it appears to be absolutely impossible to find anyone with one of those on hand...If anyone could help that would be nice. Anybody familiar with it? its sort of like the TX81z but its smaller and has an 8 track sequencer and stuff. If anyone knows of any alternative in the case I can't find one, that would help too. Thank you.
Help me help you help you

i had a tq5 a few years ago, it's not quite as nice as a tx-81z and i believe it's based on the same chip as the fb01. the voice allocation for multitimbral use is manual rather than automatic and therefore becomes infuriatingly fiddly. the sequencer suffers from this same issue, and is really fiddly to use in comparison with other hardware sequencers of the time. the internal effects aren't anything to write home about and i wouldn't pay more than $40~ for another TQ5. they're mostly just neat as a sort of obscure musical desk clock with a retro design.
