HELP Importing Loops Between Kaossilator 2 and iKaossilator

Post by marlenedegrood »

From the latest iKaossilator upgrade, Korg says .....

"Seamless Integration with Kaossilator 2
Loop recorder data created with a Kaossilator 2 can be imported into iKaossilator, or an audio loop created in iKaossilator can be loaded into a loop recording bank of the Kaossilator 2. When you do this, data such as the loop length and the BPM of the loop that you created is also loaded; resulting in a seamless transfer between the software and hardware."

Could some please please please explain how to do this???? I'm not so great figuring this stuff out on my own and would really appreciate a simple step by step on how to do this.

Thanks so much!!!

If it occurs to you, always try to post your solution when you come across it for anyone who might have a similar issue in the future. Glad things worked out though.

You are very right ... so here it is ...

Saved files from the iKaossilator can be found in iTunes when your idevice is plugged in and are located in the iKaossilator files where they can be saved into an appropriately named folder on your desktop. To get the folder into the Kaossilator 2 ... you just need to put that folder into the DATA folder of your mini SD card. When you put the SD card into the Kaossilator 2 you can "load" your beats through the fnc button.

Just do the opposite for beats created on the Kaossilator by taking files off of the SD card and putting into the files of the iKaossilator through iTunes.

Maybe someone will find this info useful :)

Are u a MAC or PC user?
"Saved files from the iKaossilator can be found in iTunes when your idevice is plugged in and are located in the iKaossilator files where they can be saved into an appropriately named folder on your desktop." For PC users, tho, no custom data is saved on the PC, only in the app on iTunes. Therefore PC'ers cannot access loop data outside of the iKaossilator on mobile device (PC's can only have access to the iTunes general .ipa file, and nothing more). I read that Mac users do in fact have access to backed-up iKaossilator custom loop data because Korg designed the program for Apple customers. I have a PC )-; So... are you a Mac guy or a PC? If you've done the transfer via PC, then that would be good news pour moi ici.
