Oh No! One day she just woke up sick.

Post by jamiepoetry »

Hi there.

I have had my M3 since 2007. It hasn't really been used that much until the last year in which I did quiet a few gigs. Never any problems with it although there was one about 6 months ago where the Main stereo output went. To be honest, there has always been a slight balance problem with the main stereo out with the left side being lower than the right.

I got the output fixed.

It has been working fine.

I recently turned it on after a break of about five days and now the touch screen is not working properly as if it is out of alignment and the Xpanded information doesn't load up even though when it boots up initially it said it is loading the Kep Piano etc.

I use a USB for this as I don;t have the installed extra ram.

What has happened? Do they just slowly die?

I am freaking because I can't gig if it's out and to write is impossible as I can't save to USB. Any advice? Any similar problems?

Jamie... the USB memory and RAM are unrelated. You can't play samples from USB, they must be loaded to RAM. If you don't have extra RAM, the KEP will not be loaded.

Are you using any other samples? Look at the Memory Status page in Sampling mode.

Thanks bro.

I gave it a good clean and it "seems" okay now.

May have to get a new screen in the future anyhows.

I am proably due for a new workstation so I may even check out the Kronos.

Thanks everyone for helping.

As always, in this forum, for me anyway, problem solved.
