Hi ,

The 3Q is almost over !
Do you know this system ?
www.stagepad.de
That seems to be smaller, cheaper ( 1366,- £ ) and with an build in touch-monitor.
Best regards

Open Studio Live update.
Sadly, we failed to raise investor funding to get it into production. Two prototypes with custom cases and PCB's were built and demonstrated at numerous investor meetings that I won't bore you with.
Miden helped considerably on the software config.
There were lots of frustrations along the way with software and utilities not communicating under Windows 7 in the way they should, but those were "fixable" given sufficient cash to fund the developments. At the end of the day and after spending close to 50,000 Euros on the design and first PCB's, I have had to call a halt.
It might be cheaper for me to buy an INTEGRA-7 than to become a manufacturer

In my travels to visit about 20 different potential investors, I was introduced to Jon Stewart the inventor and designer of the DMA1.
http://www.darkmatteraudio.com/
They have spent a small fortune (several times as much as me/ OSL) developing this product and getting first prototypes. The product works extremely well and is tailored as a multi VST effects unit for guitarists currently.
The DMA1 has the potential to become the "iPad for musicians", complete with all necessary 24-bit audio I/O hardware which is lacking on the Apple iPad.
I think the target selling price complete with touch-screen is between 500 and 600 GBP. The Open Studio Live unit could never compete with this, and I hope Jon and his team succeed in raising the necessary funds. I believe they are considering a Kickstarter campaign.
