EXs-90 Kronos Assault, aka Sharp's Masterpiece
I picked up EXs-90, Kronos Assault, the little project created by one of our fearless leaders "Sharp". This, in my opinion is a must have. If you can afford it, $180 US, buy it. If you cant buy it anyway. It's that good. Now I really have to upgrade my ram because of this set, as I want it loaded all the time with my other stuff.
Thanks Sharp, first rate stuff worth every penny. I trust you made a good deal with Korg so you get appropriately compensated.

Too much gear to list.
Thank YOU for your support. I do sincerely hope you enjoy the library. Thanks Sharp, first rate stuff worth every penny
Yeah, Dan promised to give me his Lamborghini. He has 6 of them, so I was able to pick the colour I wanted too.I trust you made a good deal with Korg so you get appropriately compensated.

Regards
Sharp

This is by far the best third party sound set available for the Kronos bar none. This is programming at its finest and at the true level of an instrument as great as the Kronos. Money very well invested in not just sounds but in learning the art of programming at its maximum potential. Good demonstration of creativity with technology

Hi Kronik.
Every single program sound has been reworked greatly to make better use of HD-1, filters and controllers. I also mapped every single sound to make use of the Drum Track function which is something the original edition never had. The Sample data is not the exact same either. Some data was removed, some replaced, some updated. The images of the categories are even displayed on the KRONOS now.
If you have the original version it's still a mighty library and you have something pretty darn close to EXs90. Why not install the demo and compare A to B.
Regards
Sharp.

Yes, if you want to load the Preload + ASSAULT you need to have a KRONOS X or the extra stick of RAM installed.Saxifraga wrote:# Out of memory error.
Have only 154 MB left and need 225. Damn.

Sounds very impressive James. Well done!
I'm quite curious though: it seems that many of the sounds in this EXs are perfect fits the the AL-1, MOD-7 and MS-20 engines. Would it have been possible to create many of the sounds using the engines? What's the advantage of using PCM samples? Is it a case of many of the sounds being too complex to generate using the modelling engines?
Downloading it now, 5 hours to go. Woohoo!

Hi SeedyLee.
Much of the PCM data is from natural sources such as the Human Voice or combinations of natural wave forums so it's not really possible to simulate the vast majority of the sound in an EXi.

Awesome, thanks for the reply Sharp.
That just makes it all the more impressive. I was just curious as to the reason - I knew there'd be a good one! Can't wait to get the download completed.
Well done again.

Looks like I am a guy who wants to have it all at the same time.SanderXpander wrote:Many people choose to unload the Japanese Grand (because they use the German grand exlusively), that frees up quite a bit of RAM.
But for trying out the sounds, you could just unload the Preload completely.
