I'm really happy with the Kronos, except for one problem - sticking keys.
The issue is that the lower front rail is slightly bowed, and comes in contact with the keys near middle C, causing them to stick. Three times now, I've loosened the screws, inserted the spacers, and re-tightened in an attempt to get some clearance there. But at best, the clearance is marginal and within a couple weeks, some keys start sticking again - usually in the middle of a performance.
I think this is a design flaw. There's just not enough clearance there. The bow in the sheet metal rail is normal - bending sheet metal that way will cause a slight bow. There's just not enough allowance for that bow. Do others with a K88 notice that the clearance is less in the middle of the keyboard than it is at the ends?
I have a performance tonight, so I'll try the adjustment one more time. After that, I need a more permanent solution. I'm afraid this means taking the keyboard in for service.

Never had the problem with my 73 until the first time the service tech opened it. I had taken it in get the key switches replaced and after opening it up, the tech realized he had the wrong parts. When I got it home, I had some noticeable key click in the lower 8va. A week or so later, when he came to put the correct switches in, I mentioned to him to be sure the rail was spaced away from the keybed. Since then, no problem. And actually, the rail is so far forward that my spacer cards slide easily in an out and even back and forth when moved in the case.
