I'm a soon-to-be user of the SV-1, and I've been reading alot of threads here. Apparently there seems to be some trouble with pedals and such, so I would like to know:
What kind of set-up do YOU use for your SV-1?
I'd like to know about pedals, maybe specific USb-cables, amplifiers, that sort of stuff. I'd like to start out perfect when I start using this baby. And if anyone has any problems with using pedals from other companies like Yamaha and Roland, I'd like to hear.
Thanks in advance!

I usually gig with my 88 key sv1 & a hammond xk1 on a spider pro stand
I also own the Korg stand for home use & a braced x stand in our rehearsal studio, all of which do the job ok
Pedal wise, there is no alternative half damper available but I have used various latch & expression pedals with no compatibility issues
A pair of active studio monitors are essential for home use/recording. Live, I usually connect to a front of house system via my Yamaha Stagepass 250 monitor/mixer which doubles as a decent amp for rehearsals
Connecting to a PC requires a usb cable & a standard inkjet printer cable will suffice
Other accessories I recommend is a case (although my flight cased keyboard is a 2 man lifting job due to the extra weight), pair of headphones, decent cables & a folding bench

Re: Advisable gear for SV-1?
I use the standard sustain pedal (DS2H). It's a little light, and tends to move when used, but it has a useful cutout to fit over a bottom bar of a stand. However the SV-1 stand has no such bar, and nor does any other stand that I own, so I made a bar out of some copper piping, and brace that against the stand legs. Works fine to keep the pedal still.RobinOtto1990 wrote: What kind of set-up do YOU use for your SV-1?
I have 2 x Yamaha DXR10 active PA speakers, which do duties as stereo keyboard amp, stage monitor(s) or FoH PA as required.
I use the SV-1 as a piano only, and have a Kurz PC361 for organs, brass, strings, etc. so have no need for expression pedals and the like.
