I gig my SV in a Soul/Motown/60's covers act. It's perfect for this task.
It needs a good backline to really get the most out of it. I run my thru a QSC K10 and it's ideal. Use mostly rhodes/wurli's.

Cool Tonesbar...I suspect several of us play the soul/Motown route...you are the third to mention this in this thread!!!
And as I play with the QSC K-8 , I am impressed with the clean sound of the series...and wonder if I should get the K-Sub?
I am on vacation in Florida this week, and left my SV-1 at home :( ... I think I'm going thru withdrawals  Even worse... I didn't even bring a guitar...sigh...
Be well comrade...you are in a unique group of afficinatos!!! And yes...we all define groovy! :D :D :D

Hi Clayton.
I find that the K10 has plenty enough low end for me. I don't use the bass boost feature (cant remember what QSC call it..) as for me that makes acoustic piano in particular feel way to too bass heavy. I like piano's to cut thru the mix, in fact i've eq'd the bass way down on most of SV1 piano patches as I found the top octave didn't cut enough out of the box.
Wish there was an easy way to flip the bass boost on via a pedal on the QSC, as it would be great to have the extra grunt for my Nord C1, which is really weak in the low end, ah well, its all about compromise unless you want to lug tons of equipment. :?
