KAOSSILATOR 2 Tweak: Add Loops from Sample packs on MicroSD

Hey guys, i found out a little trick im using with the KO2 and wanted to share it with you guys, im sure everybody having this device will benefit from it, so give it a try!
Excuse me if my english isn´t the best, im from germany but i will try my best....

The Benefit:
Use any Free or bought sample pack (Drum, Bass, Synth, Vocal loops etc..) in your KO2 to create even more sounds...

How to proceed:
In this example i will use a free sample pack (Electro House), the download will be given below...

1. Download and install r8brain: http://www.voxengo.com/product/r8brain/
2. Download and extract:http://cdn.mos.musicradar.com/audio/sam ... amples.zip
3. From the extracted files, copy or move the folders:"Beats, Processed Beats, Guitar Loops and Drum Loops folder" to a new folder named
"Kaossilator"
4.copy one wav file to the root directory of the Kaossilator folder.
(can be any wave file, it´s just important for the r8brain batch processing)
5.Open r8brain and Click "browse" where it says input wav file and select the WAV file you placed on the root folder.
6.Change Resample r8 to: 48.000 and click "Batch", mark both Checkboxes (Delete original files)
and click on r8brain batch.
Now the folder can be copied to SD:KO2\DATA\DATA00
Once you inserted your card again into your kaossilator make sure you set the right BPM and Beat range before you load the sample in on of the 2 banks or it won´t work. Thats why its important to have the BPM number in the folder name.

A short summary:
You can import any of your sample packs into your KO2 by batch processing the sample rate to 48.000khz.
By Mass renaming files a good structure can be built fast.

The accepted sample rate is 44.1 ... converting to 48 is not accepted by the Kaossilator. Simple enough just to drop the folders into the DATA folder.

Well actually you don t need to download anything!
Just drop your samples on your SDHC Card and recall them Throught your kaossilator - And exact don t forget to write the bpm on your samples or Just create many folders with differents BPM speed
for non beat sample ,no need to write bpm. Kaossilator will accept them all-
Do not use bigger card Than 2 GO ,it will be useless to buy bigger,as if you put too many ,it will need long to charge them and you will get lost(don t forget how small it is written)
On 2 GO you can already put few thousands....should be enough...

the loops load at 48.0 , however, they run just as loops.. the pitch shifting function and x-y axis use on them.. if anyone knows how to use that feature , pls share ! thanks

Hello, I just bought the Kaossilator 2. I bought it so that i could do this, but it isn't working. Can someone help me out. Is there any way I can play a wav file and use the soundbanks at the same time? If not, can someone tell me a good way to get samples on the thing? I think 150 sounds is too few.
