Anyone able to get a rich vocoder sound?

Post by BrickPilot »

Looking for that Queen / ELO type of vintage vocoder. My MS2000 did an awesome job... I had assumed that my beloved K88 woukd eat it's lunch. Was I wrong?

I'm still a newbie wrt sound engineering, but know some basics if anyone has any tips. Thanks.

I don't really dislike the vocoder preset in my K88 but would also be interested in more sounds and more variety.

Unfortunately you still have to buy a Microkorg XL to get a real good Vocoder sound!

If you want a really good vocoder, I would suggest to buy a used V-Synth XT.

The vocoder in the k is usable but it's not the same as
the M3. 1 band effect versus 16 band in the analog card of
The m3. I've used both.
Get a Electro Harmonics V256.
The mic pre is built in too.
That's my next step.

I just tried to load your .pcg and I got an error that it was created with a newer version of the OS than I had installed and I needed to update. I'm running 1.6. What version are you running?

Oh, sorry... I completely forgot about it ... At this point you can not load my PCG. Later I'll post another one.
