Sequencing with m50

Post by JDSY »

Hi!

Can anybody tell me anything about what it's like sequencing with an m50?

I am accustomed to yamaha sequencers (qy700 and 100), which are also almost the same as the motif or MOX of today.

I have been thinking of getting the MOX but I thought I should try and educate myself on the Korg option.

Will be looking into the manual just now...

FYI, I like to write music from scratch on my yamaha's, writing passages and copying parts, also i'm a big fan of step sequencing.

The qy700 has a good step sequencing apparatus, and I'm curious if people out there find the m50 intuitive and fun.

The good thing about the qy is that there are dedicated buttons for note lenght and velocity, as well as a keyboard animation that helps you remember and see your chord progressions as they play.

Can anyone comment on the differences or advantages of the korg sequencing as compared to a yamaha product?

thanks,

Joey
