I pressed A4 and Edit - Have I lost all my sounds?

Post by Hughnotjackman »

Hi - Please help :) I am in Australia - I bought a tr-Rack and it had a effect over all the sounds and so I searched on line for a factory reset and pressed A4 with Edit -

I now just get A01 : Init1ProgramA001
Cat : Keyboard

Have I wiped all the factory sounds and samples? How am I able to reload them?
Thanks for your thoughts in advance. I am mid session and lost without the sounds.

Th preset samples aren't lost because they are stored in the wave ROM. However I think you'll have to reload the programs with a factory preload disk. You may be able to find the PCG online in the download section at korgforums.com or at korg uk support.

Some newer models offer to do the factory preload from global mode (in the 'utility' menu), but I don't think the Rack has this.

Hi Xtrade - thanks for your reply

Would that be a floppy or cd disk. (because of the age of it - I seem to keep coming up with a lot of chat online about floppy disks)

Do you know how to get the files off the disk onto a computer and onto the T-Rack. I have just bought on Ebay . Do I need a software program on my computer? I have been looking through the forums and can't seem to find the next step to get back the sounds

Thanks in advance
PS
My brother recently married a gal from near Reading... we had a damn fine wedding in your part of the world. cheers
