Korg Kronos Tutorial: 06 Using Backing Tracks
This tutorial explains how to use the sequencer to setup the Kronos for the use of backing tracks streaming from SSD.
(switch to 1080P so you can better read the captured screens)
Backing tracks can be used for multiple goals. You can use backing tracks for:
- play along tracks (where you play along withthe complete track)
- playing parts of the song you play with your band
- Addings vocals during play
- Create remixes in realtime (which i'm going to show)
The following topics are explained:
- Preparation of the Backing Track on the SSD
- Using a Combi as Remix source for a back track
- Playing Along with tracks
The first part in this video shows how you can to setup the Kronos, the second part shows 3 small pieces of backing tracks in action:
Gotye: Somebody that i used to know - improvising a remix with a combi
Pascal & Robinez: Eureka - using the backing track of one of my own band songs
Marco Borsato: Dochters - playing piano over a full track (just for fun)

I hope you like it.

Fantastic, clear and concise. You really should get paid for these. One would think that Korg sees the benefit of these series of tutorials. Thanks again! These work for Oasys as well with only a few minor changes.
