Don't know for sure as I haven't read any complaints about the build quality, only that it is better. And for me they feel a lot more robust and less 'toy-like' then the first series.hazabikit wrote:Do the Nano 2 series controllers have any of the build quality problems that the series 1 controllers had?
Want to buy a Kaoss pad - KP3 or Kaossilator Pro?

got the microKEY. doesnt work with my OS which is windows xp 64 bit sp2. device not recognized by korg kontrol, ableton live, reason, and every app i have tried with the exceptoin of kontakt. pretty bummed and sending it back tomorrow.
if none of these other korg controllers will work with this version of xp i am wasting my time here. booo.
**update: microKEY works fine until i install the korg usb-midi driver. so i guess i can only use the microKEY in 1 program at a time? unless i can find an older driver version that works
**also: if you know where i can get older versions of the korg usb midi drivers, please let me know!~ thanks

this guy gave you the dopest advice dude, I don't know if you heard it or notX-Trade wrote:If you're looking for a controller, then I'd say that the KOPro is better because it has the ability to send out MIDI notes from its pad in External mode - whilst using the key and scales to keep your performance musical.
KP3 can also send notes but has no such key/scale locking feature.
but it's huge.
