New Sound Libaries... HDD space ??

Post by MRedZac »

Seeing now another Piano Sound libary with some Gigabyte coming up, it seems that 30 GB HDD Space becomes a bit small... Another one like this, and the original HDD will be almost full...

Time to remind you about the possibility to upgrade your HDD in Kronos... You´ll find more information in some threads here on the forum in this thread: http://korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/view ... hp?t=68128
Keys+Sound Sources: Kronos 61, X2, X3, i3, i30, SG pro X, nanoPAD2, Yamaha MU100R, 2x CME UF70, Behringer FCB-1010, Yamaha FC-7

Outboard FX from Lexcion, Sony and Yamaha

Yeah this might be more relevant than you think if we cannot remove the demo EXs libraries from our systems. I think that this will be a very high priority on Korgs next OS update.

Cheers

I agree. If you can't remove the EXs, Or their respective demos, for example, god forbid you don't like or don't need it all the time, or just want to change things up a little, like you can with the Nord boards, the inability to control what's on the Kronos HDD is troubling. A simple OS update with a command or selection under global to delete a specific library would do the trick nicely. Then you can reinstall if you ever need to. This is possible and doable, yes??
Too much gear to list.

When you replaced your hard drive had you already purchased any libraries that require authorization?

I wonder if changing the hard drive would change the Public ID in your Kronos, requiring you then try to get Korg to give you new authorization codes for any libraries you have purchased.
** KORG Product Support Contacts **
(they support BOTH hardware and software)

Korg USA Product support -- https://www.korgusa.com/contactus (For fastest service I would suggest calling them on the phone)

Outside the U.S. contact your Korg Country Distributor -- https://www.korg.com/us/corporate/distributors/

Hello Martin,

no, I had no additional libaries when changing my SSD... But I think, that the Public ID of the Kronos relys on the network interface on the mainboard rather than on the ssd, since changing my SSD did not change my Public ID, as far as I remember...

Cheers
