EXs12 SGX-1 Austrian Piano Demo
Moderators: Sharp, X-Trade, Pepperpotty, karmathanever
The demo sounds great, but how come the high notes sound very "plinky" - like they have a very short release? I think that's the one thing that comes across in many piano samples and the one thing that makes me like the Yamaha S90ES piano so much... the S90ES has a full bodied release in the high notes. When you play a grand piano - the high notes tend to ring a lot more than what I hear on these samples. I'm not sure if the release time is really longer, just that these sampled pianos seem to decay so fast. Anyone else notice this?

What Korg says
For what its worth, in my last conversation with Korg support about the Kronos (am almost weekly event) an unnamed person told me that EX's like this will use mostly SSD for storage and will only minimally effect RAM space.

So, where is the Austrian Grand? korg.de says "available from now on" at https://www.korg.com/kronosSoundLibraries - but here it's still not available.
Again a fail with announcing too early? btw: in Germany it's 9:33 pm

Can't agree here.
99 dollar would be the price for a well done piano sample set for the software mass market.
For a 6Gb premium sample set for a hardware instruments 250$/less than 200€ is not too expensive at all from my view. I would pay that anytime, if the results is a first class grand, cutting well through in band play and mix.

With "fact checking" you mean "asking for the latest delay" each month/week/day?
Yes, maybe Korg Germany did not do enough of that.
Seriously, where do you think did they get the info for daring to put such an official announcenment online? From the Dalai Lama???
