well, there might be a Occupy Editor protest outside the convention hall
Pay for my flight tickets, and I´ll be with you, my friend !
so far, the Occupy Editor protest is 2 guys on Skype via a wireless $300 laptop outside the Convention Center
Yes, far outside.
Just like the editor.
But your group will grow with each year to come.

This thread wasn't meant for complaints. It's just that the time for possibilities may finally materialize and was wondering everyones take on it.
==========================
My guess would be:
The NAMM Korg booth will "NOT" be quiet.
They are going to unveil the editor and draw a whole sh*t load of new owners/users. Cameras and multipal screens showing it's stuff, if you know what I mean.
(Now, if you believe that, then you still believe in the Easter Bunny!)
Actually and kidding aside, Kronos has had a few glitches for few of us, but in the big scheme of things deserves center stage.
I think it's a stella keyboard and the Korg staff have done an incredible job bringing a product like this to market for us.
If the editor is there, I hope it makes the splash Kronos rightfully deserves!

I think it is a good decision if Korg would decide to launch the editor at NAMM ... although others rather have seen new product(s) but I think it's too early, the competition is way behind.

Well, maybe you all know something from somewhere, I don´t know, yet, but....
.... who told you, that Korg is going to release the editor at NAMM Show ?
As far as I know, this is all rumors and speculations only... Right ?
I fear that the only reason why Korgs NAMM both is not quiet might be due to the reason somebody is dropping a bomb on that...

I can't imagine that Korg would miss another chance to present the overdue plugin. Their best effort would be a common presentation of the plugin, the Boesendorfer/other own sound packages plus the (or at least most of the) Karo sound libraries. Such a common presentation, while everybody is looking at them, would leave a much bigger impression than
a) bad news for those waiting for the editor/plugin once more
b) further delays for announced sound libraries (Karo's sounds were announced for November and are still missing two months later)
c) just presenting some other stuff not related to the Kronos
I for one think that Korg has too much experience to miss these chances at a winter Namm, allowing them to give the Kronos (finally available in numbers here in Germany and probably elsewhere) a real run. You can bet that the competition won't sleep forever.

Well it won't go down well for Korg if they don't release it at NAMM, credability is a big thing, and the comments on the others sleeping will be right, they wont be for too long. Korg would know this, and whilst the Oasys wasn't the marketing success it should have been, for similar reasons, Korg have to make things right on the Kronos, and that's why i'm fairly convinced they will deliver
Making music is a passion, not a choice of lifestyle
I'm more than happy to be proved wrong, but I can't see why Korg would have fanfares going releasing something they launched 12 months ago. That would be embarrassing.
Isn't NAMM all about what new stuff the dealers can sell in their stores? Stores don't sell the Kronos editor - it's part of a hardware package that is only useful if you have the hardware (VSTi excepting).
No, I still think the Korg stand will be quiet but will have some announcements, although likely to be lower down the instrument scale (no pun intended).

Actually I agree, but maybe news (if you can call it 'news') is better than nothing at all.

I am not satisfied with news only... Shame on Korg, that they are not able to deliver after 12 months now some editor software...

Just an idea: Maybe the reason, why Korg hasn´t released the Editor, yet, is, that they developped some more sound engines for the Kronos, which they first want to present at NAMM Show... Since the editor will support these, too, they would have ruined the surprise, if people would have seen about the new Engines already in advance by Editor !!!
Have a nice day alltogether !!!
Cheers

"Some more sound engines"? From where should they get the time for that, while having to deal with a lot of other things?
I would take it as pleasant surprise, if they got all the announced Korg and Karo libraries ready for download in the first place, not talking of fixing issues. If then there would be one addtional engine, this already would come to me as BIG surprise.
