Hi everybody,
I own o triton pro and a Behringer XENYX X1222 USB (mixer with audio interface) but no midi interface.i can record audio from my triton but i want to use some VST instruments for a greater variety of sounds instead my internal korg triton programs/combis.
I thought that i should buy a midi interface to conect to my PC and from PC to XENYX mixer because I want to use the audio interface from mixer and not the soundcard from PC and so I can use my monitors which are connected to XENYX.
I dont know if it will work this way or should I use something else?
thanx!!

The MIDI interface would connect to the triton.
The XENYX has no MIDI so the mixer has nothing to do with the MIDI interface.
You can get some cheap cable-like USB interfaces such as the E-MU XMIDI 1x1 which is fairly effective.
Alternatively some USB and Firewire audio interfaces also have MIDI connections.

Re: midi interface advice
You can also hook things together with just software. I play live from one keyboard. It dirves a software app called Midi Spanner which outputs midi signas on any number of hard or software midi ports. I drive one hardware synth and two virtuals, EWQL Pianos and Symphonic Orchestra.
With my left foot I control a midi expression pedal that drives Spanner to vary the mix of live voices as I play. Here's a sample: "God Bless The Child"

It has piano, Rhodes, B3, and several other voices as I pedal them. Might help you?
