Recently returned to the fold - and cannot use Legacy...

Post by Paul W »

Having been focused on all things stick and string over the past 4 years, i thought it high time I revisited my Legacy Analog and Digital packages which I bought at first release.

I decided that it was high time to review my Windows OS and also upgraded to Win 7...

Needless to say, my old Korg software won't run on this Win version for me and also it does not recognise the Syncrosoft dongle...

Is there a painless way to get back up to speed with my synths, bearing in mind that I am a complete luddite in this area?

Do I just login to user net, download my registered items one by one and get a soft dongle or something?

Apologies if this has been asked a thousand times before, and thanks in advance....

I would suggest calling Korg Product Support.

They can walk you through the steps needed to upgrade your license to the new downloadable versions. The new versions ditch the Syncrosoft dongle and use a Challenge/Response system.

You will probably need to pay a small fee to upgrade to the newest versions available at KorgUser.net.

Hi

Thnaks for the response - I did manage to obtain and fire up my M1 and Wavestation with a formal licence free, which was great. However, my old analog stuff such as Legacy Cell, Polysix and so on were registered as a bundle and are no longer recognised and I have them set up ona temp trial basis at present...

Also, got the MonoPoly - love it - how do we buy it?

You can buy everything (including upgrades) at the Korg User Net website

http://www.korguser.net

If anything is confusing, call your Korg Country Distributor (e.g. Korg USA Product Support). They can help you understand what you need to do to get the latest versions of all of the Legacy Collection products.

What do you mean by "greyed out button"?
It's not a button but a text link, and it's blue (and working fine).

You're not trying to click the "sign up" header by any chance? That looks like a button but isn't. Just click on "Don't have an account yet? Create it before purchase." which is a link that will take you to the sign up page.
