Hi All,
I am trying to tweak the M3 symphonic bows (IC-053) with KARMA effects turned on.
Setting the GE to the different pre-programmed variations along with changing KARMA values like NoteBnd, etc gives interesting variations.
What i am unable to figure out is how to get rid of a delay that i hear when i hit the key .
For Ex. i am move my fingers fast across different keys i do not hear all of them.
I see in the IFX section there is a delay that is set. But even if i turn it off it does not seem to have any effect.
How do i get rid of this delay so that when i have fast motion across keys they respond right away without delay.
cheers

Changing GEpatterns and Effects to remove delay

Here are a few different things you can try within the KARMA P7-1 GE Setup Module page:
1. On the Trigger tab, change the quantization to the highest resolution possible. It's probably set at 16th notes by default.
2. Alternatively, uncheck the the Quantize Trigger box in the Trigger tab.
3. On the GE Setup tab, turn on Thru in Z.
See if any of the above make some improvement. There might be other or better settings to change, but for now try these...

Turning off the quantize button definitely got rid of the delay (most of it).
Any idea, what is the function of the delay in the IFX section. When i turn off all the IFX effects i do not hear any change in sound. I think the delay in the IFX section is called St.Mod Delay and doesn't seem to do anything..
thanks for the tip.

Try moving slider 6... the delay is set to dry by default, until you move the slider. It doesn't add tons of delay with long feedback, though... it's a subtle doubling effect.
You can find out a lot about what an effect is doing simply by looking at it and seeing if there are any controllers assigned to its parameters. In this case, slider 6 is modulating the WET/DRY mix.
