HELP !

Post by alx2010 »

Hello everybody. Recently I bought Korg M 50. Once I downloaded Hammond patches from the Korgforums.com. Everything was o 'kay. Today I decided to find new piano sounds & downloaded 22 piano samples from http://www.kimlajoie.com/pianos/ for $49. When I pushed import button in M50 editor , it was downloaded. But When I checked, what i have , I was very surprised !!!! All original piano, organ, etc including even guitar & strings where erased!!!! I found empty init programs. In addition to this all sound numbers where mixed in there places , so I cannot use my records, I made before in sequenser mode.......What shall I do ???? Where can I find original stock samples? Please, help me.

you can reset the m50 from global menu.
this will bring back the original factory setting including program/combi.

any modification or personal sound you have done on m50 is lost if you do not have a back up of them to load.

I had the same issue just this morning . . . am glad I had just backed up everything onto an SD card. And it's also easy to reload the original sounds. Anyway, rather than loading the whole bank of Kim's pianos at once, just audition them individually from your SD card and save them into slots where you can part with what was there before. In my A bank I've ended up with a combination of Korg presets, Korg vintage keys, and Lajoie pianos that suits me better than what the machine shipped with.

Yes, it's best to audition the piano programs directly from the SD card (you don't have to load them onto the onboard memory all at once). You can then load the ones you like onto the onboard memory. That way you can mix and match.
