here's my take

Post by soundsailer »

my backround is with the tritons, I picked up a M3 about a year ago and now it's the Kronos.

I was pissed that the M3 didn't have audio recording like the studio, that was my biggest gripe, hey they brought that one back and in a BIG way and audio interface with USB plugin direct to DAW !!.

Then no MOSS

I don't understand why they innovate cool features then just drop them on the next model, will there EVER be the perfect Keyboard.

Now for the Kronos.

I really liked the visual meters on the M-3 anyone else miss them ?

who stole my controller pads? with 61 keys and a lot of RPPR's got to have them.

And couldn't they have found some way to incorporate the " smooth sound transition " into the drums/karma/modulation? if you are using identical drums/karma/modulation setups in two different programs why can't you switch back and forth smoothly?

Last but not least WHERE IS THE MOSS HORNS !!! I read in one of the threads that MOST of the capabilities of the MOSS are buried under the hood but not the horns they were unreal and they are missing !!!

Why do you think that the triton guys are STILL paying $500 plus for the MOSS cards........ oh well...

Ok I'm done and so is my coffee so I'm going to go play my new Kronos some more, this thing is F%*k'n ah-some !!!!!

Not sure what you meant by 'like the studio' but the M3 certainly did have audio recording.

I do. ;)

Even more now that Kornos doesnt have leds on sliders like the OASYS has, which solves in part the lack of the velocity meters found in the M3.

I don't understand why they innovate features then just drop them on the next model.
Agreed. :)

I think he means audio tracks in the sequencer. Triton Studio latest OS had 2 audio tracks. I think the Triton Extreme had 16 like the Oasys/Kronos, but the M3 didn't have audio tracks in the sequencer at all, even though the sequencer (in Xpanded) was way better...

It took me 2 min last night to figure out witch channel the Karma bass was playing on, with the metes makes wayyyyyy more sense.

Maybe there will be a future update that will include this feature?

The triton extreme did have audio tracks. But they used up midi track slotsand just used sampling and played them back. They would also take up program spaces
