It's not going to hit
It's more fascinating than anything else when you read more and understand how gravity effects everything. When it slingshots around our sun and is thrown back out into deep space is when it's going to come close to us. Our orbit around the sun means our planet will pass through it's tail.
It's fascinating stuff. Don't mind the doom and gloom headings these websites post. A little research into exactly what will happen is quite interesting.
Regards
Sharp.

I know what you mean. I watched a documentary explaining that the moon is getting further and further away from us. It explains what will happen if it continues to do so. The effect it has on the earth's orbit will mean that the earth will start spiralling out of control and gravity will be lost. Of course this won't happen for another million years or so and the sun will have exploded before then, but it's all very interesting.
Somthing I found when reading about all this is that some people think it's a Dwarf Star.

I think we can kiss our ass goodbye if that was true. The Gravitation pull from that puppy would be massive. Interesting how the dates land.

If Elenin is indeed more than just a comet we're in for a lot of trouble this autumn.Sharp wrote:Somthing I found when reading about all this is that some people think it's a Dwarf Star.
