TRITON SCSI CONVERTER TO USB???

Post by Tritoniano »

HELLO, I´M SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH. I COME FROM SPAIN.

I HAVE A TRITON CLASSIC AND I HAVE THE SCSI TARJET AND A HARD DISK INTERNAL SCSI.

CAN I PUT TO THE TRITON SCSI OUTPUT A CONVERTER TO USB??

MY IDEA IS CONNECT THE TRITON TO HARD DISK USB, OR PC, ETC.

THANKS.

probably not as the Triton doesn't have the USB drivers for the devices you want to plug in. SCSI drives are handled differently than USB.
Current Korg Gear: KRONOS 88 (4GB), M50-73 (PS mod), RADIAS-73, Electribe MX, Triton Pro (MOSS, SCSI, CF, 64MB RAM), SQ-64, DVP-1, MEX-8000, MR-1, KAOSSilator, nanoKey, nanoKontrol, 3x nanoPad 2, 3x DS1H, 7x PS1, FC7 (yes Korg, NOT Yamaha).

Tritoniano:

You can purchase SCSI to IDE adapter, install in scsi enclosure (check ACARD on eBay)

You can purchase IDE to CF adapter, connect to SCSI/IDE (check eBay).

You have to make a power connector.

You can copy files from PC to CF card, you can plug CF card into enclosure, turn on power and access your files.

I will post pictures of mine when I get home.

Tritonario:

Here are pictures of CF-IDE-SCSI-ENCLOSURE adapter:

You can make a power cable from an old computer.

This works very good with my Triton Le.

If you have internal scsi (musitronics) you have to disconnect to use this.

Enjoy,
Sam

SCSI Card Reader

Post by scsicardreaders.com »

You can do what the clever gentleman has done ... or you can buy one of our ready-to-install internal or external SCSI Card Reader drives for your Triton keyboard or rack. We have the installation kit to add an internal SCSI connector to your keyboard or rack and they are very easy to install, with no soldering or even cutting of wires.

We have both Card reader drives and Solid-State Drives if you prefer to keep your floppy drive in its place.

Please have a look at my website. I am the guy who used to run SCSIforSamplers.com but I have opened a new website specializing in SCSI Card Reader drives.
