korg i3 style player

Post by 1stripey »

Hi Everybody

Can anybdy let me know if (and if so, HOW!) I can obtain style player software to use on my PC so I can audition the large collection of styles I have ready to load into my i3 ! I do not have the style expansion kit, and anyway it is just not feasible time-wise to load all these styles into the i3 in batches of four just to see if they float my boat :)

I know Giga Style Collections have this software, but Korg is the only major brand that they do not cater for with the style player. (don't know why...)

Would appreciate some info.

Many Thanks all,

HI--
http://alain.fraysse.free.fr/i30/i30main.htm
IT'S NOW FREE. I was 1 of 4 beta-testers back in the late '90's.

I've used it countless times--good luck. let me know how it works out for you.

Korg i3 style player

Hi Don

Many thanks for your reply.

I had actually seen this site before but didn't think the editor actually played the styles. I'm quite long-in-the-tooth and even when I started gigging with the i3 in 1993 I was past my sell-by date ! :) So I'm also a bit of a technophobe (I think that's the word), more a musician than a technician, so I appreciate any advice you may wish to throw my way!!

I just love my music and the i3 has always been the best kick-ass keyboard (drums particularly) for me, but naturally the styles have become dated over time. I just wanted to carry on writing songs with more up to date styles, and you've shown me how to go about getting them :D

I'll dive into this and try to learn how to use it, and of course will let you know.

Thanks again and take care for now,

Regards, ken (1stripey)
